Duty Roster Maker Overview

Duty Roster Maker is a low-cost, Windows-based application designed to automate the creation of DA Form 6-style duty rosters in compliance with AR 220-45 (2024) and DA PAM 220-45 (2024). It’s widely used by first sergeants, S1 personnel, platoon sergeants, and duty NCOs to manage the duty cycle efficiently.

Key Features

FeatureDescription

Qualification-based assignments Define duties, organizations, and personnel qualifications to ensure only eligible personnel are assigned.
Automated rotation & duty point accounting Handles duty rotation, exemption handling, and duty point tracking automatically.
Calendar scheduling Built-in calendar lets you select duty dates; weekends and holidays are highlighted and counted differently.

Deterministic assignment history Maintains a single predictable roster file for printing/archiving, with past entries pruned automatically.

How It Works

  1. Setup: Enter duties and organizations in the duty form, add personnel in the roster form, and assign qualifications.
  2. Schedule: Use the built-in calendar to select duty dates for the next roster.
  3. Holiday setup: Input holiday dates under File | Setup → Holiday tab; they appear with red lines on the roster.
  4. Absences: Mark excused absences directly on the roster form.
  5. Generate rosters: Select File | Make New Rosters to build all rosters for the selected dates at once.
  6. Open/print: View and print from the same screen.

Benefits

  • Saves time compared to manual rostering.
  • Ensures compliance with Army regulations.
  • Maintains a clear, auditable record of assignments.
  • Reduces errors in duty point calculations and exemptions.
